Memory-Map for All supports a wide variety of grid systems, such as UTM, MGRS, British National Grid or Irish Grid, as well as latitude and longitude.
You can select the grid system you want to use under Main menu > Settings > Units > Position format
- To find the coordinates of a place on the map, add a Mark, and drag it on the map to place you want to read off. The coordinates are shown in the tooltip box above the mark. Edit the mark if you want to copy the coordinates and paste them in a message or another app.
- If someone gives you a grid reference or coordinates, you can find it on the map as follows. Both methods assume you have set the position format to the desired grid.
- You can use the Seach tool (under the overlays menu) and enter the coordinates as a search. This will show the location on the map at the center of the screen. No mark is created, so it just gives you a general idea of the location.
- Alternatively you can add a mark, then edit it. Enter the coordinates in the Position field. Click View.
