Loading existing media based (DVD or USB) maps onto a Mac

Any maps that you use with the Memory-Map PC application can also be used with the Memory-Map for Mac application. This includes Memory-Map map packages, or any third party maps that are compatible.

Some older maps (such as those with a 16 digit alphanumeric serial number) will require you to activate a 'Classic Maps Compatibility' feature and maps imported from third party files will require an 'Import Maps' feature. Demo periods of both these features are available within the Memory-Map for Mac application prior to purchase.

Map files with QCT and QC3 extensions can be loaded directly off the supplied media (CD/DVD/USB) or alternatively can be copied from a PC where normally they will be found in C:\Maps or C:\Maps_V5.
Once you have copied the map files onto your Mac hard drive (note: we suggest that you create a dedicated folder for map files), launch Finder and navigate to where the files are stored. Double click on a QCT file and the map will open within the Memory-Map for Mac application.
In addition to opening the map, this rebuilds the map list using all the map files within that folder and all sub-folders.
