Recovering old style DMS sqkm mapping on PC via the Digital Map Store

If you have a new PC and wish to download your existing Digital Map Shop maps onto it then you will need to migrate the licence from the old PC the maps were on to the new one. This done by following the guide HERE

Memory-Map V5 European Edition

  1. Launch Memory-Map European Edition.
  2. Click Map > Map List… > Double-click a base map (such as the OS Road Atlas or Route Planner).
    If you don’t have a base map then you can download one from here.
  3. Using the base map go to the area that you previously activated and downloaded.
  4. Click Map > Digital Map Shop > Online Maps…
  5. Select the relevant mapping from the list then click Continue…
  6. If an Activation window comes up then click Cancel
  7. Click Map > Digital Map Shop > Automatic Download
  8. Memory-Map will start downloading the tiles of mapping.

Areas that you’ve previously activated should appear as normal mapping and areas you’ve not activated will come up pixelated.

Memory-Map 6

  1. Launch Memory-Map 
  2. Click Map > Map List… > Double-click on Europe Basemap
  3. Scroll to the country that the DMS mapping covers (e.g Great Britain)
  4. Press Map > Digital Map Store > Online Maps, select the applicable Road Map for the country (e.g OS 1:250K GB Road Atlas 2020), and press Continue...
  5. Press Map > Digital Map Store > Automatic Download
  6. Using the road map go to the area that you previously activated and downloaded.
  7. Click Map > Digital Map Store > Online Maps > My Online Maps > Sign In and sign into your account
  8. Scroll the list of maps and select Old Editions
  9. Select the relevant year of mapping from the list (e.g Topo 2014)
  10. Select the relevant map from the list and press Continue (e.g OS 25K DMS 2014)
  11. If an Activation window comes up then click Cancel
  12. Memory-Map will start downloading the tiles of mapping.

Areas that you’ve previously activated should appear as normal mapping and areas you’ve not activated will come up pixelated.
