How to Access Purchased Maps

Sometimes people have difficulty locating the correct downloadable map that they have purchased in the Digital Map Store.

• You should be using the app, not your web browser. Some web pages or emails might a link to download your maps, but they are not the most reliable way, as they depend on browser settings, etc.
• In the app, open the Map List, and use the "My Online Maps" and "Maps Everywhere" buttons.  
• If it says you don't have any Activation Rights, the most likely reason is that you have selected the wrong map. You need to delete the map, then use "My Online Maps" and try again.

Using Memory-Map for All

• The new Memory-Map for All app is recommended for all new users (except for at-home planning and printing on the PC, where you should use Memory-Map Navigator - see the App Comparison)
• Tap the maps button in the lower left of the map screen.
• Tap "My Online Maps" and "Everywhere" at the top. Sign-in if prompted.
• You may have to tap the triangles on the left to expand categories.
• Note that some older maps may be shown under Old Editions.

Optional: Some maps are downloaded in full when you select them in the digital map store, but larger topo maps are downloaded as needed. If you want to download the map for offline use, see the Bulk Download page in the manual.

Using Memory-Map Navigator on the Windows PC, 

• Download and install the Memory-Map 6 software from HERE.
• Click the Map > Digital Map Store > Online Maps menu command
• Click Sign-in and enter your user name and password to log in to your account.
• Then click My Online Maps, and Maps Everywhere.
• Some Map types may be shown with a plus sign in a box. Click to expand all the categories.
• Note that some older maps may be shown under Old Editions.
• Select the map you require/have purchased and press Continue
• The purchased maps may have a lock symbol .  That just means it hasn't yet been activated on the current PC. You can go ahead and select it.

Optional: Some maps are downloaded in full when you select them in the digital map store, but larger topo maps are downloaded as needed. If you want to download the whole map, then click Map > Digital Map Store > Download Whole Map.

Using the legacy Memory-Map app on iPhone / iPad

• Install the Memory-Map app from the App Store. If it has an UPDATE button, tap it to install the latest version.
• Launch the Memory-Map app
• Tap the Maps button (on the toolbar, bottom left)
• If you have a Memory-Map account, tap Menu (top right), then Map Licenses, and Sign-in
• Tap Menu (top right), then Map Licenses, and Recover In-app Purchases
• Then tap My Online Maps, and Maps Everywhere.
• Some Map types may be hidden with a >. Click to expand all the categories.
• Note that some older maps may be shown under Old Editions.
• The purchased maps may have a lock symbol .  That just means it hasn't yet been activated on the device. You can go ahead and select it.

Using the legacy Memory-Map app on Android,

• Install or update the Memory-Map app from Google Play store
• Launch the Memory-Map app
• Tap the Mapsbutton,
• Tap Menu , Map Licenses, Sign-in to sign in to your account.
• Then tap My Online Maps, and Maps Everywhere.
• Some Map types may be hidden with a >. Click to expand all the categories.
• Note that some maps may be shown under Old Editions.
• The purchased maps may have a lock symbol .  That just means it hasn't yet been activated on the device. You can go ahead and select it.

• Download and install the Memory-Map application from HERE
• If you already have the Memory-Map app installed, launch Memory-Map and click the Web, Check for app updates command to ensure you have the latest version
• Click the Help > Sign-In menu command and login to your Memory-Map account
• Click the Maps button on the toolbar.
• Then click My Online Maps, and Maps Everywhere.
• Some Map types may be hidden with a >. Click to expand all the categories.
• Note that some older maps may be shown under Old Editions.
• The purchased maps may have a lock symbol .  That just means it hasn't yet been activated on the device. You can go ahead and select it.

Notes

If the map you are looking for is not shown in the Map list, ensure you have selected "Maps Everywhere" as well as “My Online Maps”. If it is not there, that means the edition is no longer in the DMS catalog. In most cases you are eligible for a discount to the latest edition of the map, so we recommend you purchase a new edition map. If you are using old maps, or third party maps, it may prompt you to purchase a Pro license, which includes use of Classic Maps, Imported Maps, and several other features that you will need in order to use the latest software. In most cases it is better to buy a new edition of the map instead.
