Uninstalling Memory-Map for Mac

On rare occasions, it may be necessary to completely clean out all the data and settings from the Memory-Map application and start over with a fresh installation. This article shows how.

  1. You will need user account with Administrative rights on your Mac
     
  2. First, uninstall the application(s)
    • In Finder, click the Go menu and Applications
    • Right-click (or Ctrl-Click) on Memory-Map and click "Move to Trash"
       
  3. Delete your saved documents Still in Finder, click the Go menu at the top of the screen
    • In Finder, click Documents
    • Right-click (or Ctrl-Click) on Memory-Map and click "Move to Trash" (These are saved document files that rarely cause problems, but you can delete them)
       
  4. Still in Finder, click the Go menu at the top of the screen
    • Still in Finder, click the Go menu at the top of the screen
    • Click Go to Folder (or Command-G)
    • In the Go to Folder dialog, enter "~/Library"
    • Open "Application Support" in the Library folder.
    • Open "com.memory-map.macapp"
    • In this folder, the "DMS" folder contains the downloaded maps, "Memory-Map-License" contains license management files, ".bin" files contain your overlay data, and ".ini" files contain settings.
    • To uninstall everything right-click on "com.memory-map.macapp" and Move to Trash.
